$9,$1&$6$0&23,/27127(6 ,16758&7,216 Welcome to the Avianca / Sam copilot selection process. The following includes the instructions for the Simulator Aptitude test. You are to familiarize yourself with the information included in this package and be attentive and ready for your teste slot. You will be notified via e-mail of your Checkride date and time. All test results are final and will not be repeated under any circumstances. The cost of the checkride will be at applicant’s expense. No person different to yourself and those delegated by the Colombian Air force or Avianca/Sam may be present at the testing center. You are encouraged to use a fixed or virtual twin engine flight simulator ideally with a B200 King Air cockpit layout to practice the maneuvers before your evaluation. The evaluation will take place at CATAMS training center. The evaluation will last approximately 2 hours per person and it is done on one by one basis. The applicant will act as the PIC and will be accompanied in the flight by a passenger (private pilot of little experience). You are to perform a commercial charter flight from SKBO to SKRG using SKIB and SKGI as alternates. You are to request, use and explain anything pertinent to this flight if so required as you were in a real life situation. Some items will be omitted for simplification purposes such as Pressurization, Environmental systems, etc have been deleted from the checklists. The Taxi or Landing maneuvers will not be evaluated. A designated Check Airman will be assigned to each applicant under the most strict confidence. You will meet this person a few minutes before the Checkride and he/she will brief and answer any questions. The maneuvers will be rated to FAA standards as they appear in document FAA-8081-4d available online in PDF format from the FAA website at: http://av-info.faa.gov.co or www.faa.gov.co under search document # FAA8081-4d.
