A 1 Night Stand Story
~DEDICATION~
To the lovely ladies of 1Night Stand, Val and Kate. I salute you and your inspiring series. Thank you for seeing my version of Jagger as worthy of the Castillo name.

Chapter One Daniel wanted to throw up as he entered the Castillo Resort and Hotel, Grand Turk. Everything was lush and beautiful, as gorgeous as the white sand beaches of the island. I shouldn’t be here. What the hell was Madame Eve thinking? The place spoke of style and class, two things he lacked. Drawing a deep breath filled with the aromas of salt air and tropical plants, he stepped to the reception desk and struggled not to lose the measly lunch he’d had on the plane. A beautiful, dark-eyed girl smiled at him. “Welcome to Grand Turk. Checking in?” “Yes, ma’am.” Does she know about the one-night stand? Does she think I’m ridiculous? “Daniel Long.” He slid his ID across the marble counter and acted as though he didn’t want to run screaming from the place. Laughter poured through the open courtyard as two young boys chased one another around the pool and their mother pretended not to worry when they stepped too close to the edge. The scene tore at his heart. He turned away to stare toward the valet area as cars came and went—people spilling out with obvious excitement or piling in, grumbling about a week too short. “Mr. Long? I need your signature.” He blinked at the tears that burned and pasted on a fake smile for the brownskinned beauty. “Sorry. This place is stunning.” “Isn’t it? I honestly can’t believe I work here most days.” She slid a keycard across the table and held up a black leather band with a silver strip in the middle. “If I may.” He offered her his wrist and she snapped the all-inclusive ID in place; the last hole barely met the tab. The buckle bit into his skin. “Do I have to wear this?” “It tells the staff that you’re in one of the exclusive suites and gives you unlimited access to any part of the resort as well as all the food and beverages you would like.” A scowl marred her delicate features. “It does look a little tight though. Just a moment. I’ll call Mr. Castillo.”

“No! Please don’t bother anyone.” “No bother. It will just take a moment.” While she waited for someone to pick up the phone, she waved a bellhop close. “Manny, please take Mr. Long’s baggage to the Sunset Suite, Building A.” Before Daniel could protest further, his suitcase disappeared. He watched the lanky teen hurry away with an almost wistful longing to disappear with him. Even in the serene setting, his sheer size made him stand out as a freak.
*** “Mr. Castillo! I had to tell you that the snorkeling was superb.” Jagger paused beside the elderly woman, amazed that she and her eightysomething husband had actually taken the trip he’d suggested. “Mrs. Schneider, I’m glad you enjoyed the experience. Franco and his crew have never disappointed me.” He shook her husband’s hand and dropped a peck on her leathery cheek. “Let me know if I can do anything else for you.” “We will.” With a smile, Jagger moved through the crowded patio, touching base with familiar guests and meeting new ones. He loved his job, adored the sun and the sand and the happiness the place generated. His cell buzzed as he snagged a glass of iced tea from the buffet. “Castillo.” “Mr. Castillo. I hate to bother you, but the wristband does not fit our newest guest. He’s in the elite tier, and I know you prefer to handle situations in that area personally.” “Exactly right, Jessa.” He took a quick sip of the tea to ensure it was cold and fresh before handing the glass to a nearby waiter. “I’m by the pool. Give me a second.” The wristband was too tight? How was that possible? Most people had a good two or three inches to spare. Who was checking in, the Jolly Green Giant? Jagger stepped from the heat of the sun to the relative cool of the open lobby. The man who stood by the desk wasn’t green, but he came damned close to being

a giant, a seriously good-looking one. A group of giggling girls tried in vain to get his attention as they paraded past in tiny bikinis, but he did not turn their way. Make that a potentially gay giant. Broad shoulders stretched a sapphire-blue Hawaiian shirt to near bursting, and long, muscular legs topped by an ass tight enough to bounce a quarter on tested the fabric of the stranger’s khaki shorts. Jagger’s groin saluted in appreciation. How the hell did such a mouth-watering mountain of a man end up in his hotel? Please don’t let him be here for one of Eve’s little fiestas. Telling his cock to lie down and shut the hell up, Jagger crossed the tiled lobby. “What seems to be the problem, Jessa?” “This is Mr. Long.” The giant turned and Jagger forgot about protocol and professional distance. Sad brown eyes surrounded by almost feminine lashes stared at him from an otherwise masculine face. High cheekbones, broad forehead, and lips, full and tempting, graced a bald, perfectly shaped head. “I’m sorry to be a bother, Mr. Castillo. Can I just wear it on my belt loop or something?” The man’s soft, southern drawl flowed like molten lava over Jagger’s edgy nerves. A need to taste, to savor the beautiful mouth, nearly made his knees weak. Clearing his throat, he offered up a silent plea that his voice wouldn’t crack like a thirteen-year-old boy at his first dance. “No problem at all, Mr. Long.” Reminding himself he was a professional, Jagger took the guest’s large forearm in his hand. His fingers didn’t meet. He ignored the desire to drop his eyes—is everything else about the mountainous man as thick—and released the ID band. The buckle burst apart with little coaxing, but a raw spot marred the creamy, cocoa skin. Jagger couldn’t resist rubbing his thumb over the tiny scrape, the urge to kiss it better almost a tangible thing. The guest pulled his hand away, body language screaming don’t touch. Shit! Had he been mistaken about the man’s preferences? He hadn’t even looked at the bikini-clad beauties, nor had he done more than glance at Jessa. Few heterosexual men could resist ogling the stunning islander. 3

Stepping back, Jagger shifted his focus to the receptionist. “Inform the staff that Mr. Long has full access to everything. I will order something more appropriate for the rest of his stay.” A large hand settled on his shoulder and then jerked away as if burned. Okay, I get it. You’re not interested. “Please, don’t worry. I’m only here for the night. No need to go out of your way.” One night? Damn it. That made him one of Eve’s clients. Maybe that was why he was playing no-touch—he wanted to save his attention for the lucky bastard who would share his suite. No matter the reason, Jagger had to leave before he said or did something completely inappropriate like drop to his knees and beg the man not to meet his date. “Our loss, Mr. Long. Jessa, please have Manny show our guest to his room. I hope you enjoy your stay.”

Chapter Two Daniel watched the tall, lean hotel manager walk away as if insulted. Probably was. The guy was more than likely straight, had to be, maybe even married. Men that gorgeous didn’t go unattached no matter which way their affections swung. Still, his touch had been warm and gentle despite the fact that his looks alone gave him the right to be an arrogant bastard. No man should be that hot unless he’d made a pact with the devil. Almond-shaped amber eyes and olive skin gave him an exotic flare to go with the thick black hair that fell over his forehead in a disarming, playboy manner. What would it be like to have the right to brush that hair aside and replace it with a kiss? Or to explore the lean muscles so obvious beneath the man’s fitted shirt? “Mr. Long, this way please.” Startled, Daniel looked down into the pimpled face of the boy who had taken his luggage earlier. Did the kid realize he’d been fantasizing over the hotel owner? Fuck. Get a grip, Long. You’re nowhere near Mr. Castillo’s league. Despite his long, gangly legs, the kid practically trotted to match Daniel’s stride. Slowing, he offered an apologetic smile as they wove through the people scattered on the patio. Everywhere he looked, couples sprawled in utter relaxation. The mother he’d noticed earlier had fallen asleep with her eReader on her chest. Her boys still played too close to the edge of the pool though. When the accident happened, he thought at first it was an illusion triggered by his personal nightmares. A waiter rounded the corner of the bar with a tray loaded with margarita glasses just as the younger of the brothers darted into his path. The two collided hard. Man, boy, and beverages flew. The kid’s head slammed into a table on his way down, and he tumbled into the water. Daniel didn’t pause to worry about who stood in his way. Three strides carried him to the edge of the pool. He dove over the couples playing games in the shallow end. Even arching his back did not stop his palms from slamming into the cement, but he ignored the pain shooting through his left wrist and swam
5

toward the boy. The kid had almost reached the bottom by the time Daniel caught hold of his skinny frame and heaved him upward. Worried amber eyes met his as strong arms took the child. Daniel dropped his hands quickly to avoid bleeding on the hotel owner’s crisp white shirt. By the time he got out of the water, the staff had laid the little boy on a table, carefully tending his wound, while his mother and brother clung to his hands. Eager to go unnoticed, Daniel slunk away.
*** His clothes had almost dried by the time he’d followed the bellhop to Building A. A huge bouquet of orange tropical flowers graced the table in the center of his room with a bar/kitchen area to the right and an enormous lounge area to the left. Large glass panels stood open to a balcony and two nine-foot wooden doors led to the rest of the suite. “Enjoy your stay.” The boy who had led him across the park-like compound nodded and left before he could offer a tip. The entire place screamed opulence. Something Daniel had never had, nor expected to have, in his life. He took a moment to shed his damp shirt and wash the dried blood from his palms. His wrist throbbed and it looked swollen, but it was a small price considering what could have happened to the child. Shaking off unwanted memories triggered by the boy’s pale face, Daniel slipped outside. A whirlpool tub, filled with cool water and floating candles, occupied about a third of the balcony, tempting him to sample the soothing jets, but the view stole his breath. The ocean stretched as far as he could see. Cruise ships rode the horizon like toy boats bobbing in an endless bathtub while people lounged on the sand, stirring only to sip from fruity drinks or roll over to perfect their tans. With a long sigh, Daniel tipped his head back and let the sun burn away his stress.

*** The dinner crowd had begun to filter into the restaurants by the time Jagger sorted out the mess by the pool. Thanks to Mr. Long’s quick thinking, the kid survived with only a few stitches and bruises. His cell phone vibrated as he settled into his office chair and tried not to think of the man who jump-started his hormones. He’d given up on finding anyone worth having a relationship with. Too many people who came through the resort wanted nothing more than a vacation romp, a good time to remember fondly as they returned to mundane jobs. The phone buzzed again and he pulled it from the holder on his hip. “Castillo.” “Jagger. It’s good to hear your voice, my boy.” Only one person ever dared to call him boy, and he’d never even laid eyes on the woman. “Hello, Eve. What do you need? Skydiving tickets? A shark tank? Let me guess, a tub filled with strawberry-mango lube.” Her cultured laugh greeted his sarcasm. “You know I never repeat myself, Jagger, but I do need a favor.” He groaned. Eve’s favors tended to cost him time and money, but he could never say no to her for some reason. “Whatever you need, love.” “I have a problem with my arrangements.” That got his attention. He sat up and ran a hand through his hair. “Did a reservation get lost or something?” “No. Nothing like that. You staff is impeccable as always.” “Good to hear. So what can I do to help?” “I’ve sent a darling man your way. Tall, good-looking, a bit on the shy side, though. Have you seen him?” Was she referring to the mountain? “Mr. Long?” “Yes, that’s it. I knew you’d be on top of him, my boy.” Not yet. “I’ve seen him.” Jagger strode to the bathroom and splashed cold water on his face. He needed a cold shower. “Well, it seems that he doesn’t have a date.”
7
L.C. Dean
“What?” “I had someone in mind but—” Jagger jerked the towel off the hook with a scowl. “Jesus, Eve, it’s not like you to be so careless. The man seems insecure enough.” He wiped the moisture from his face and threw the towel on the counter. “He’ll never believe that you screwed up. He’ll think his date just didn’t care enough to show.” “That’s my fear as well. I wondered if you would take care of him for me.” The suggestion caught him off guard. “You want me to play your game? No.” He shook his head even though she couldn’t see him and strode back into his office. “Make that hell no! That kind of crap worked with Jackson, but it won’t fly with me. I make enough down here to live in style. My place would fill with or without your business, no matter how tough the economy is. I won’t do it.” Eve’s sigh made him feel like a kid who’d just yelled at his grandmother. “I know. You are fully correct and I would never dream of asking you to do this favor for me if it were anyone else, but Daniel strikes me as so vulnerable, so in need of a strong hand to protect him.” Good God, has she not seen the man? “Protection from what? A frickin’ grizzly? The man’s half the size of a house.” “Actually, his profile puts him at six-ten while weighing in at only two-ninetyfive. I hardly think that makes him a house.” Nearly three hundred pounds and not an ounce of it fat, acres and acres of man to explore. He shook off the lurid thought. “Forget it, Eve. I’m not going near the guy other than to thank him for his help this afternoon.” “Oh? What happened this afternoon?” “Nothing. An accident.” “Was anyone hurt?” “A kid got knocked unconscious into the pool. Your client pulled him out.” And then practically ran to get away from me. “Oh, that poor man.” The sincerity in her voice pulled Jagger from the memory of Mr. Long stepping from the pool, his clothes clinging to his muscular frame. “Why poor man?” “Mr. Long lost his younger brother in some sort of boating accident. Research 8

tells me that he blames himself for the other boy’s death, though that is ludicrous. He was only eight at the time. Still, I can’t imagine today’s events didn’t trigger some sort of memory.” She tsked sympathetically. “I will text Daniel and explain the situation about his date. I am sure he will understand.” “Knock off the drama, Eve. You know good and well I can’t let you hurt him, especially after that little story.” He could almost hear her smile. “Well, I had hoped, but I don’t want you to do anything you are uncomfortable with, Jagger.” “Oh, course not. You would never do something like that.” Eve’s ladylike giggle barely preceded the click as she hung up. What the hell was he supposed to do with a damned tenderhearted mountain who didn’t want anything to do with him?

Chapter Three Jagger straightened his tie and checked his watch for the third time. The resort’s most exclusive restaurant, Hermana, bustled with elegantly dressed men and women, making it his favorite spot at night. As much as he liked the relaxed atmosphere of the day, he enjoyed the night even more. The formality of dressing for dinner brought out people’s best manners. Even the children were wellbehaved after six. Eve had set the date for seven. Mr. Long—Daniel—still had five minutes. Taking a small sip of his scotch and water, he savored the hint of honey and almond that graced the ten year Glenmorangie. The occasional glass of Scotch whisky, along with a rare cigar from his homeland, was his greatest indulgence, but even the mellow alcohol did not lessen his agitation while he waited. His date’s slow southern drawl announced his presence as he entered the candlelit restaurant, and the mother from the pool stopped him. In a nod to Hermana’s dress code his lightweight, tan sport coat fitted his body to perfection, kissing the edge of wide shoulders and nipping in to a relatively narrow waist. A pale lavender shirt, unbuttoned at the throat, finished his casually elegant attire. Jagger wasn’t the man’s intended date, so he had no right to fantasize about slowly stripping away the trappings of civility, but that didn’t stop the longing coiling low in his gut. The mountain of a man equaled his every fantasy since coming to terms with his sexuality. Eve could not have sent a sweeter treat had she handpicked him with Jagger in mind. Daniel patted the mother’s hand and squatted to appear less intimidating as he spoke to the little boy. For the first time since his arrival, a smile lifted the corners of his mouth and weird, unexpected emotion sparked to life in Jagger’s chest. He wanted to be the one to put that look on the big guy’s face, wanted to erase the sadness permanently. When Daniel continued across the room, everyone noticed or acknowledge him in some way, a smile and nod or an appreciative once-over, whatever the
10

reaction, no one missed him. Pausing to help Mrs. Schneider with her chair and offer a quiet comment to her husband, Daniel oozed shy charm. He even paused to return a dropped credit card to a waiter hurrying through the room. Every action showed consideration for those around him, a natural caring and attention to detail too rare in the world. Jagger stood as his date finally entered the semi-private alcove. A confused look flitted over the man’s face. “I’m sorry. I thought…the hostess up front said I should come back here….” “You’re in the right place. Have a seat.” Jagger gestured to the vacant chair and waited while Daniel settled in. “Can I get you anything to drink?” “No.” His scowl deepened. “I was supposed to meet someone.” He glanced toward the main dining room, searching for his unknown date. “That’s me.” A different expression flashed a second before the big man schooled his features. “The profile said Jagger Allen, not Castillo.” What? Confusion quickly gave way to pleased understanding. That conniving, wonderful, little bitch. “Allen’s my middle name. Madame Eve is very cautious with how much she reveals at times. Perhaps she didn’t want you to be intimidated.” Or disappointed if I refused to show. “Oh.” The reserved response did nothing for Jagger’s ego. “Listen, if you’re not interested, you’re free to go. No need to follow through with this if I’m not what you expected…or hoped for.” “No!” Daniel’s eyes dropped to the table. “That’s not it, Mr. Castillo. I’m just nervous, I guess.” His long lashes lifted. “I’m not what most people anticipate.” Jagger smiled, anxious to ease the other man’s discomfort. “A bit unexpected perhaps, but you’re all I would have hoped for.” The lashes hid his beautiful eyes again, but a half smile tilted one corner of his mouth. “So…what did Madame Eve say about me?” He gripped the arms of his chair to shift closer and his face distorted for a moment. Pain? “Not much actually. I like surprises.” He watched as the other man laid his left hand in his lap with care. “What’s wrong with your arm?” 11
L.C. Dean
“What?” “You’re favoring your left side. I didn’t notice that earlier.” “It’s nothing.” Jagger tossed his napkin and Daniel instinctively jerked back as if it were something more substantial. The movement twisted his arm and pain pinched his face again. “Let me see.” Daniel shook his head. “Really, no need, Mr. Castillo.” Irritated, Jagger stood and slid the chair around. “I’m not going to have you wincing all night. I have more interesting expressions to put on your face. Now show me, damn it.” When the man still hesitated, Jagger dropped to his knee. “Please?” “I hit the bottom of the pool. It’s just bruised.” Jagger waited, hand out, until Daniel offered his wrist. Pushing up the man’s sport coat, Jagger carefully unbuttoned the shirt cuff and rolled it back as well. Daniel’s wrist looked swollen and tender, almost twice its earlier size, and abrasions marred the heel of his hand. “Not cool, big guy. Why didn’t you stick around and let someone look at this?” “Everyone was busy and the bellhop was waiting.” “So you just left?” Shaking his head, Jagger motioned for the waiter assigned to his personal table. “Jake, we’ll have our salads now. Daniel, what kind of dressing?” “House?” Even the damned dressing choice sounded like a question. Who the hell had screwed with the man’s head to the point of complete submission? “One house, one Caesar, and send someone for Carla, please.” “Yes, sir.” As soon as the waiter left, Jagger shifted his attention back to Daniel. “Take that jacket off.” “Really, Mr. Castillo—” “My name is Jagger.” “I know, but—” “No buts. Jacket, now, Daniel.” The big guy stood and shrugged carefully out 12

of his coat. Jagger caught the collar and eased it off, dropping it around the back of the chair. “Sit down and give me your wrist again.” “I really am fine, Mr. Castillo.” “Jagger and no, you’re not.” Carla and their waiter returned at the same time. “Excuse me, Mr. Castillo. You sent for me?” “Carla, could you take a look at Mr. Long’s wrist for me? It seems he hurt himself by the pool earlier.” The athletic trainer who provided general first aid for the staff and guests turned to her patient and her eyes grew wide in admiration. “Oh, you’re the one who saved that little boy. It all happened so fast, I don’t think anyone else had even realized he was in the pool when you dove in.” She bent over his wrist, her fingers gentle, but still Daniel flinched. “Careful, Carla. Mr. Long has been through enough today.” Jagger cringed at the sharpness in his tone. A man that size shouldn’t need protection, but Jagger felt the need to say something anyway. Carla glanced over her shoulder at him and the situation registered on her face. With a bright smile she focused on Daniel. “It doesn’t feel broken, but you might want to have it X-rayed just in case it’s fractured. The doctor can’t do anything until the swelling goes down anyway. I’ll wrap it for now and give you some ibuprofen.” She rummaged in her bag, pulling out a bottle of pills and an Ace bandage. “Mr. Castillo, would you hold his wrist steady for me?” Jagger sat on the table and waited for Daniel to take his hand. “You okay?” Daniel nodded, but he looked uncomfortable, whether from touching Jagger or from actual pain was unclear. Carefully wrapping the bandage around his wrist, Carla checked to ensure it was neither too tight nor too loose. “If the swelling doesn’t go down by morning, you should definitely see someone. Otherwise, I can check it again if you’d like.” Jagger reluctantly released Daniel. “I’d like you to take a look either way, if you would.” “No problem.” She smiled again. “You really were amazing today, Mr. Long. A real hero.” 13
L.C. Dean
Daniel shrugged. “I didn’t do anything special.” Carla patted his shoulder. “Tell that to the kid’s mother.” A shy grin lit Daniel’s face then disappeared in an instant; his lashes dropped as soon as he realized Jagger was watching. What the hell? Is he afraid of me? “Thanks, Carla. I owe you one.” “No problem. You two have fun.” With a wink, she was gone. Shaking his head at her, he smiled at Daniel to see if he had caught the implication of the wink. He looked nervous as hell. “Daniel…or do you prefer Dan?” “Whatever you would like, Mr. Castillo.” “I would like you to stop calling me mister.” Jagger moved back to his side of the table and took a swig of his drink. The man infuriated the hell out of him. “Sorry, sir.” “Sir isn’t better and quit apologizing, damn it!” Daniel pushed his salad around on his plate, head bent. Jagger felt like a shit. “Listen, obviously you don’t want to be here. I’m not sure what I did to make you so uncomfortable, but if you’d rather call it a night, I understand.” “No. I’m sorry, sir.” He must have realized what he said because his gorgeous eyes widened. At least he’d lifted his head. “I did it again. I’m sorry.” The man’s horrified expression triggered Jagger’s humor and he had to laugh. “It’s a good thing you’re so damned adorable, big guy.”

Chapter Four Daniel studied the man across the table. Did the charismatic god really think he was adorable or was he just being nice? His stomach rolled and the thought of eating made him want to vomit. He pushed his salad around on his plate again. Maybe he could just fake it. I shouldn’t have come. Shouldn’t have put myself in a position like this. “Would you rather go for a walk and eat later?” Relief washed over him. “Could we?” Jagger chuckled. “We can do whatever we please. I run the place, remember?” He stood up and offered his hand. “Shall we?” Did he really want to hold hands in public? Did Daniel dare touch without explicit permission? When Jagger simply waited, Daniel pushed his chair back and took the offered hand. He’d played the patsy for enough years. Time to grab what he wanted, and he wanted the good-looking hotel owner with an unexpected passion. Long slender fingers wrapped around his palm in a mini embrace. The smaller man smelled of sand and saltwater, as if the beauty of their surroundings had molded with his DNA, creating an erotic creature formed of man and sea. Jagger led him through the back of the restaurant and into the night air, weaving through the empty lounge chairs to the sandy beach. “Shoes off.” Before the soft command fully registered, the elegant man sank to his knees, urging Daniel to lift each foot as he removed shoes and socks. After rolling Daniel’s and his own pants to mid-calf, Jagger stood to kick off his shoes and waved down a passing employee. “Take these to Mr. Long’s suite, please.” With a nod the girl scooped up their footwear and scurried away. “Does everyone do your bidding without question, Mr. Castillo?” “Everyone but you it seems.” He ached to do nothing more than please the golden-eyed man. “What do you mean?”
15
L.C. Dean
“I can’t imagine, Mr. Long.” The gentle reminder teased more than embarrassed but still left him flustered. It had been too long since anyone played lighthearted word games with him. Daniel searched for something to do or say. The sun hung low in the sky, setting a trail of gold across the water. “I can’t imagine anything more stunning.” Jagger took his hand and tugged him toward the surf. “I’m struggling with that myself.” They walked hand in hand, the sea teasing their toes with balmy licks. Laughter and music drifted from the outdoor party areas while the family sections lay mostly empty. Daniel tried to think of a way to dispel the image of him as an uneducated idiot before his handsome date gave up and walked away. “How long have you been here on Grand Turk?” “My family bought the land ten years ago, but I designed the resort my senior year in college. We opened the doors three years ago on my twenty-fifth birthday. How about you? What do you do?” “I manage the park and rec programs in my hometown, a little ways outside of Savannah, Georgia.” Turning to walk backward, Jagger grinned. “Really? So you do what, organize children’s activities?” “Yeah, and schedule the summer temps as well as teach some of the adult ed classes in my spare time.” Jagger fell back into step beside Daniel. “What do you teach?” “Weight training mostly. Nutrition and beginning Spanish, too. I also lead water aerobics for the elderly and offer a glass fusion class twice a year.” “Sort of a jack of all trades, huh?” Did he sound impressed? “Something like that. I stay busy.” “So is that why you’re alone? Your partner got tired of the hours?” “No.” Guilt and fear tangled in his gut. There was no way to explain Master Tyler. At least none that didn’t make Daniel sound like a weakling. “Okay. So I take it from that brief response that exes are off-limits.” “Please?” A deep chuckle sent desire spiraling though him and chased off melancholy 16

thoughts. “Fine by me.” Jagger tugged him toward a palm tree and pressed his back to the smooth bark. Long fingers traced his cheek in a teasing caress. “So tell me…are you as anxious about what might happen tonight as I am?” Daniel swallowed hard, fighting back the need to sink to the ground and beg for that fascinating mouth to close over his. All he could do was nod. “And do you want something to happen?” Jagger stepped closer. His personal heat overpowered the cool ocean breeze drifting across the deserted beach. “Although it’s usually expected, sex is optional in Madame Eve’s set-ups. No pressure.” He didn’t know what to say. He’d wanted the man since he’d first laid eyes on him. Daniel had only been with one lover in his life and had no idea what to expect from the golden-eyed god with such a tender touch, but he wanted to find out, needed those long fingers and firm lips exploring his heated skin. The subtle power and sexy charisma that flowed from Jagger set Daniel on fire. Still, he hesitated. “Don’t you want to do this?” With a deep groan, Jagger hooked his hand behind Daniel’s neck and pulled him down until their faces were mere inches apart. “More than I can bear.” The words whispered over his lips a half second before he was lost in Jagger’s kiss. His toes curled into the sand as he struggled not to touch without permission. He yearned to wrap his arms around the shorter man and lift him so their mouths met evenly, longed to feel the beat of Jagger’s heart and the swell of his cock. A moan rumbled in his throat as the kiss deepened and Jagger slid his tongue behind barriers Daniel had fought for too long to keep in place. “Come on, big guy. Let’s take this somewhere more private.” Daniel blindly followed the man of his dreams, praying such trust would lead to a fantasy, not a nightmare.
*** Jagger steered the mountain of a man to Building A and up the steps, pausing only a few times to taste the sweet mint of his mouth. By the time they entered

the suite, Jagger wanted to explode. He needed to climb the big bastard, to wrap himself in all that power and muscle and never come up to breathe again. Kicking the door closed behind them, he brushed his thumb over Daniel’s sexy lower lip. “Get comfortable. I’ll be right back.” After shedding his suit coat and tie, he practically ran to the bathroom, jerking open cupboards until he found the well-stocked drawer designed to aid seduction: condoms of every shape and size, as well as a variety of lubes, lotions, and personal hygiene supplies. Filling the small basket included for such purposes, Jagger ensured he had no reason to leave Daniel’s bed. He ran a hot cloth over every place he needed Daniel’s tongue to wander in hopes of pleasing his date and swished mouthwash over his teeth. With a grin, he reentered the main room. Daniel knelt on the floor, naked, head down, hands clasped behind his back. He looked gorgeous, a sculpture done in chocolate. So perfect and so wrong. The sight pissed Jagger off. He set the basket on a nearby table and stopped in front of his fantasy with a growl. “Want to tell me what the hell you’re doing?” “You told me to get ready.” Daniel looked up beneath his killer lashes, confused and perhaps frightened. “Did you want something else, sir?” “Actually, I said to get comfortable. Is this what you want?” He hated the idea of dominating anyone beyond his usual arrogance, but if Daniel needed to be pushed a bit to get off, he’d help him out. “I thought….” The sexy southern drawl faded away. Jagger hooked his finger under the other man’s chin and tipped his head up. “Look at me, Daniel.” “Yes, sir?” The term of respect had seriously begun to wear thin. “What do you want, big guy?” When he started to answer, Jagger cut him off with a finger to his lips. “Don’t think about what anyone has demanded of you in the past and stop worrying about what you think I expect. What do you want?” “I want to touch you. May I?” Jagger chuckled and let some of his annoyance go. “You may touch me whenever and wherever you please.” 18

Daniel’s hands shook as he released Jagger’s fly and pushed his slacks and shorts to his knees. Jagger stepped out of them, kicking them aside. Still the mountain hesitated. Jagger groaned. “I’m not sure how long I can resist fucking you, so if you want to play a bit first, you might want to get started.” Even sitting on his heels, Daniel’s head still reached Jagger’s stomach. For a fleeting moment happiness settled in the deep chocolate eyes before long lashes dropped to hide them. “Was that a smile?” Fighting the need to rush the other man, Jagger caressed the silky skin of Daniel’s shaved head. The hard contours of his skull beneath smooth flesh created an unexpected sensation, erotic and tender. He soaked up the joy of touching another sexual being the moment before a searing hot mouth closed around his dick. Fire shot through him, stoked white hot by the stroke of Daniel’s tongue. His knees started to buckle, but Daniel wrapped an arm around his thighs, effectively holding him upright. He fought down the need to face fuck the other man. Daniel pulled back, blowing a cooling breath over Jagger’s throbbing cock. “I think we should trade last names.” Suck it, damn it. “How’s that?” Even the man’s deep laugh rolled with the slow southern drawl, and Jagger’s dick hardened to the point of pain. “You’re more a Mr. Long than I am.” Jagger looked down at the thick rod lying against the other man’s muscular thigh and groaned. “I don’t think you have anything to worry about.” The low chuckle rumbled again, vibrating over Jagger’s cock as Daniel sucked it in and down his throat without gagging. He jerked back, pulling the aching head from his mouth with an audible pop before swallowing it again. Over and over Daniel ate the length and breadth of him until Jagger trembled on the edge of release. “Stop.” His control wavered and he bit down on the inside of his lip. Shit! He pulled gently away from the massive hands and talented mouth of the giant at his feet and urged him to stand. “As great as that feels, I want to fuck you when I come.” Daniel looked dazed as he walked to the bedroom. Jagger grabbed the basket of goodies and followed, as eager to give as he had been to receive. 19

*** Had he done something wrong? Maybe Jagger didn’t like it as rough as Master Tyler had. Maybe he hadn’t been quick enough. Should he have sucked harder? Softer? Damn it! He’d meant to please the man, not turn him off. Jagger nudged him toward the bed. “Sit, big guy. My turn to torture you.” Torture? Had he done so poorly that it lost all pleasure? He sat, lost in his confusion until Jagger kissed him, urgent and raw. “I don’t think I can swallow that big-ass third arm you call a cock, but I’ll give it my best shot.” Did he really mean to suck him off, to give pleasure instead of simply taking as Master Tyler always had? Daniel struggled to rationalize the situation, but when Jagger bent his head and took the upper half of Daniel’s cock in his mouth, coherent thought became impossible. Long fingers closed around the base, working him with deliberate sensuality, stroking him toward a rapid loss of control. Deep breathing didn’t distract from the wet slide and pull of Jagger’s mouth. Neither did counting or singing in his head or the million and one other tricks he’d taught himself through the years. He was going to come without permission, going to embarrass himself and insult Mr. Castillo. A whimper escaped his throat as he fought to hold back. It was too soon, but sucking on such a long, beautiful cock had made him hot. Something that had never happened before. “Sir, I need to come. Please.” Begging so quickly showed poor form, but it seemed to please the man bent over him. Golden eyes sparkled with desire as Jagger continued to suck harder, pump faster, then slowed to a mind-bending caress before releasing him. Jagger straightened and stepped close, his still rigid cock bumping against Daniel’s. “There is no superior or subordinate in this room. Just you and me. I want you. I need you to want me, too, so come as often and as hard as you like. Each time you blow strokes my ego.” His hand tightened, caressing Daniel’s cock almost absentmindedly, as if it were his own. Need rushed back, burning and 20

demanding. “Do you want me to finish you off right now, or do you want to wait and explode with me as I fuck your hot ass?” “Both?” The tiny bit of demand in the one word question startled Daniel. He’d never asked for anything so bold in his life. He sure as hell would have received a beating for such a tone in the past. Jagger just laughed. “You got it.” He bent again, sucking Daniel’s cock, exploring with his hot tongue, as he squeezed the lower half with his hand, working Daniel to a near frenzied state too quickly. Three faultless strokes and his hips jerked upward. “Please, Mr. Castillo.” He tried to pull away so he wouldn’t lose it in the other man’s mouth, but the need was too strong. Tension built in his balls and his breathing deteriorated to desperate pants. As he thrashed beneath the gentle yet demanding touch, his balls drew up and hot cum surged in aching pulses he could not stop. He caught at the back of his lover’s head and held him still, unwilling to let him go no matter that shooting in his throat could trigger punishment. Daniel’s fingers dug into thick waves of dark hair as the orgasm washed through him with spine bending shudders, leaving him spent at the hands and mouth of a powerful stranger.

Chapter Five Jagger licked the last of Daniel’s cum from his slowly softening cock. The sharp, pungent taste sent a spiral of unexpected pleasure through him. A female friend had once claimed her husband’s spew was more bitter if he hadn’t gotten off in a while. If that were true, Daniel had not found his pleasure in a very long time. The idea delighted him inordinately. “Did you like that, mi montaña?” A slow smile provided his only answer. Chuckling, Jagger crawled onto the high mattress and grabbed a stack of pillows. “Scoot to the middle. I don’t want to fall off.” Daniel crawled to the center of the bed and dropped his head on his arms, butt high, tugging a groan straight from Jagger’s rock hard and eager cock. He leaned forward and bit the rounded ass before slapping gently. “As much as I would like to take you up on that delightful offer, I want to see your face when I’m inside you the first time so roll over.” Daniel flipped to his back but confusion clouded his dark gaze. Probably just as easy to show as explain. “Boost your hips.” Jagger shoved three pillows beneath the other man’s backside. Even with several thicknesses, Daniel’s muscular weight pressed the lift down to nearly perfect. “Haven’t you ever been fucked like this? Face to face?” “No.” His eyes dropped then rose. “Master Tyler liked that I didn’t know what was coming, when he would thrust and when he would whip or pinch.” The idea of someone hurting his sweet mountain man didn’t sit right. Jagger’s hand trembled as he ran his fingers over the sculptured beauty of Daniel’s chest and stomach. His cock lay at half-mast against his lower abdomen, impossibly thick even at rest. “Did you like that? The pain? Was it pleasurable for you?” “Master Tyler liked it.” Jagger scowled. He needed answers. Hurting someone didn’t do a damned thing for him. He understood the lifestyle, had even looked into it when he was younger, but he could not be a true Dom. He didn’t have it in him to push

someone hard enough to help them break down barriers, nor did he have the desire to bind or spank. For one night he could wander that path if Daniel needed it, but that would be the end of it. “I didn’t ask what your fucking Master liked. I asked if you enjoyed it.” Holding his breath, he waited for the response that would break his heart or make his night. “Come on, big guy. Tell me.” “No.” Tears shimmered on his long lashes. “I hated it.” Jagger sat cross-legged beside Daniel, slowly stroking his chest and wiping the teardrops from his cheeks. How did such a huge man become so dependent on another when that obviously wasn’t what he needed? The people he knew who practiced the lifestyle would have been appalled at such abject and abusive subjugation. “Why’d you stay?” “It’s complicated.” He laughed at himself, tipping his head back to stare at the ceiling. “Mainly, because guys my size don’t fight back. They take care of those who are smaller. I think I heard my mother say that at least once every day of my life. When my brother died, I failed to protect him.” Shaking his head, Jagger pressed his palm over Daniel’s heart “Eve mentioned you felt that way. What happened?” “My parents owned a sailboat. Not very big, but too big for a couple of little kids to handle. Kenny convinced me we should take it out anyway. When the wind came up, I couldn’t hold it. We capsized before I could get the sail down and he never surfaced. He’d hit his head and I couldn’t find him. He died because of me.” Jagger’s throat burned at the pain-filled confession. “You have to know that wasn’t your fault. You were just a child.” Daniel shrugged. “Logically, I suppose I do, but….” He took a deep breath that shuddered through his massive chest. “As a kid, that didn’t make much difference. I was pretty messed up for a long time after Kenny died. Withdrawn through childhood and sort of self-destructive as a teenager. I graduated and basically ran away to college. I met Master Tyler when I was a Freshman at Georgia State. He seemed so sure of everything, and I felt so lost. It took me five years to get the guts to leave. That was three months ago, but my job, my life is still in the same town, and Master Tyler threatens me every chance he gets, 23

demanding that I come home. He won’t or can’t do anything without drawing negative attention from the conservative community that he’s enmeshed in, but still…I needed a clean break, something to convince myself I didn’t have to go back to him. Then I found 1Night Stand on the Internet. Madame Eve seemed to offer some sort of hope that things could be different.” Letting his hand drift lower, Jagger stroked Daniel’s thick, muscular thigh. “What kind of hope? What do you want from me? Are you looking for a new Dom?” Daniel shook his head. “I don’t know, but I can’t go on living like I have been.” “Not all Dom/sub relationships are that controlling. In fact, many are loving and mutual. I can’t be that for you, but plenty of decent Doms come through here. If that’s what you want, I can help you find a kinder, gentler man.” Rolling to his side, Daniel propped his head on his arm. “Are you saying you don’t want me?” “Fuck no.” Sliding his hand higher, Jagger teased Daniel’s balls and anus, rolling his nuts, pressing lightly over his taint and more firmly at the tiny star. “You’re my lifelong fantasy, big guy. I got hard when I first saw you this afternoon and it hasn’t let up. I just want to make sure you get what you need tonight.” “All I want is a fresh start.” He looked down Jagger’s body, pausing on his ready cock before traveling back up. “And you.” Fighting the riot of emotions thundering in his head, Jagger grabbed the basket off the nightstand and found an anal lube. He rubbed the slick fluid over Daniel’s cock and balls before squirting more on his middle finger and pressing against Dan’s puckered asshole. “Relax, mi montaña.” His finger popped past the outer ring. With a passion-filled grunt, Daniel lifted to take him deeper. Jagger added more lube and worked in a second finger, stretching and preparing his gentle giant. Need seared too hot. Once he was inside, the time for gentleness would end. When Daniel’s sphincter relaxed to quivering spasms, Jagger rolled on a condom and moved between the massive thighs. The man was gorgeous, rock hard planes and angles, chiseled abs and arms to hold or crush a man. “Ready?” The moment Daniel nodded, Jagger pushed his cock head through the tight 24

passage. Daniel dug in his heels and lifted to meet him despite the tension in his body. Need slashed at Jagger’s self-control. “Fuck, you’re too damned tight. Relax. I don’t want to hurt you.” “You won’t. Please, Mr. Castillo.” Jagger stopped his erotic slide into Daniel’s snug ass; the tight fit almost more than he could resist. “Call me that one more time, Mr. Long, and I’m gone.” He flexed his hips, shoving deeper then withdrawing despite his growing need to possess the larger man with hard demanding strokes. “Jagger or Jag. Hell, I’d settle for asshole over sir or mister.” At least the last would carry some kind of fucking emotion. Daniel arched higher, trying desperately to take in the incredible cock, but his one-night lover continued to hold back. Desperate, he locked his legs around the other man’s hips and squeezed, gaining another couple of inches. “No!” Jagger twisted, jerking completely from his body. “Say my damned name. I want to know you understand who’s fucking you.” He grabbed Daniel’s chin, the grip just short of pain. “I will not be a substitute for your prick of a Dom.” Is that what he thought? No, that wasn’t right. Catching the other man’s face in his hands, Daniel pulled him down for a kiss. Jagger fought him and it became a sexy test of wills, a battle of tongues and lips. Daniel won as the kiss gentled, smoothed to sensual, before he loosened his hold and allowed them both a chance to breathe. Golden amber sparked with a barely-banked fire. “I could never confuse you with Master Tyler. Please, Jagger. I need to have your dick buried so deep that I can’t speak.” Jagger groaned and thrust halfway home in a single, burning, cock-stirring drive. “Say it again, Daniel. Give me my name, big guy.” “Jagger. My perfect, one-night hero.” He groaned as the long cock shoved in farther. “Oh…God…so good.” “Pull your ass open for me. Take all of me.” Jagger braced himself above Daniel’s chest; sweat glistened on his lean body 25

turning him from mortal to a sexual dream. Reaching down, Daniel spread himself wide, offering his hole for his personal fantasy’s pleasure. “No one’s ever touched me like you do. Fuck me, Jagger.” “Gladly.” Daniel closed his eyes and savored the thrust and drag of Jagger’s cock in and out of his chute, each plunge nudging his prostrate, each stroke dragging welldefined abs against his revived cock. He panted, sucking desperately for enough air to avoid blacking out. He was going to lose it, going to shoot his load again before his lover had even come once. “Harder. Fuck me harder.” Jagger obliged. Dropping his head, he sucked a nipple with mind-blowing pressure, shoving Daniel to the very brink. Slamming in and out, Jagger maintained contact with Daniel’s cock, rubbing, bumping, demanding. “Wrap those thick ass thighs around me and fucking come with me.” He pumped harder, driving deep until he trembled in Daniel’s arms. “Vuela conmigo, mi montaña gigante, tan grande, tan fuerte y perfecta.” The affectionate Spanish words flowed over Daniel, easing years of self-doubt. Fly with me, my giant mountain, so big, so strong and perfect. The room narrowed to the stroke of Jagger’s tongue, the glide of his stomach, the stretch of his cock. Daniel couldn’t breathe and didn’t care. Arching, he held out for the telltale pulse to surge through Jagger’s dick before he allowed his own release to explode and tip him into blissful oblivion.
*** Spent beyond his wildest imagination, Jagger collapsed on Daniel’s massive chest and allowed the final shivers of his orgasm to melt into a bone-deep peace. Daniel played with Jagger’s hair, running his fingers through it in easy strokes, a soothing touch that felt like caring. Separating them, Jagger crawled up until he could brace an arm on either side of Daniel’s wide shoulders. He bent for a tender kiss, slow to start and slower to end. “It’s like climbing a frickin’ mountain to get up here.”

Daniel chuckled, eyes flashing downward as shyness returned. “Your profile said that was one of your favorite pastimes.” The man was perfect—giving and open, maybe even a bit vulnerable, in personality—rock solid and massive physically. Jagger had never expected to find the strange combination, though he’d longed for it forever. “I could spend the rest of my life trying and never get enough.” The instant the words slipped from his mouth, he wanted them back. Too much, too soon. Daniel was messed up, unsure of what he wanted. He wasn’t ready for another relationship. Confusion replaced the contentment that had graced his endearing face. With a groan, Jagger rolled off the bed and grabbed his lover’s right hand. “Come on. You’re a mess. Shower time.” Daniel’s eyes remained on the floor as Jagger tossed the used condom. Turning on the water, he waited the few seconds until it ran steamy, but not overly hot, before he pulled the big guy into the tiled enclosure, careful not to bump the other man’s bandaged wrist. The shower easily accommodated them both. The expensive upgrade had been more than worth it. “Put your arm up so the fabric doesn’t get wet.” With one arm resting against the wall, elongating his side, Daniel presented a study in male perfection—smooth skin of the creamiest coffee color. Except for the light, sexy dusting that covered his upper thighs, no hair detracted from the hard lines and angles, each muscle defined and gorgeous. Jagger fought desire rising too hard and too fast. The poor man had to be in overload. He’d spent…what had he said…five years in complete submission. He would allow Jagger to do anything he wanted, no questions asked, but Jagger wanted more than acceptance. He needed those dark eyes on fire with longing, not mere acquiescence. Jagger shifted fully into the spray to block the water from Daniel’s wrist and loaded his palm with sandalwood body wash. He rubbed his hands together and then spread the luxurious lather across Daniel’s broad shoulders, down his thick chest, and lower, erasing the remnants of passion. “Are you ever going to look at me again, mi montaña? The floor can’t be that interesting.” Killer lashes lifted. “I don’t know what you want. It makes me nervous not 27

knowing what to expect.” After rinsing away the soap, Jagger grasped Daniel’s face in his hands and pulled him down while rising on his toes to meet him halfway. He smiled when Daniel’s massive right arm circled his waist to steady him. “I want you to do whatever feels right. I expect you to forget about my needs and worry about yours for once.” He groaned at the memory of the big guy’s mouth sucking him. “Not that I don’t fully appreciate it when you take care of me, but pleasing you gives me almost as much satisfaction as finding my own. We’re in this together, one night to get it right. Dusk to dawn is not much time for a fresh start, so quit worrying about me and get on with discovering what gives you joy.” “What if pleasing you makes me happy?” Fuck, go at it all the way. “Then I sure as hell won’t fight you on it.” Jagger stepped back with a grin, desperate to slow things up. He wanted to keep Daniel, wrap him in luxury: well-tailored suits and decadent food, or better yet, cool satin sheets and sweat. Unfortunately, until he knew that Daniel saw him as more than a stopover to the next stage in his life, he needed to control himself a bit. If he didn’t, he’d wind up hurting them both. “Let’s scrub up and head to bed. You wiped me out.”

Chapter Six Daniel lay in boneless slumber as Jagger slipped onto the balcony and hit speed dial three, waiting impatiently for Jackson to pick up. “Hey, Jag. What’s wrong? It has to be nearly three a.m. there.” “Eve sent me a one-night stand.” His brother’s laugh made him chuckle as well. “I thought she might be up to something. She called last week and asked some questions that weren’t really questions and accepted answers that weren’t really answers. The woman confuses the hell out of me.” “Yeah, I know the feeling, but right now I’m pretty damned pleased with her.” He looked back at the giant man sprawled across the bed and questioned why the hell he’d left the warm embrace. “Actually, I just called to tell you that she sent me a present.” “So, is something wrong with the gift?” “No. It’s just unexpected and nearly perfect.” “Nearly?” “He’s a bit lost right now.” “Leah was, too. Obviously, Eve thinks you have what the big man needs to find his way.” Jagger leaned against the railing and stared at the personification of his fantasies. “How’d you know he was big?” Jackson laughed. “Come on. I think you were barely seventeen the first time you told me about your recurring wet dream. How did you put that? ‘He’s huge as fuck and I should feel small, but all I want is to climb his giant body and claim him as mine.’ The subconscious is a powerful thing, little brother.” “I can’t believe I told you that.” The quiet became almost too thick as Jackson hesitated to answer. When he cleared his throat, Jagger’s tightened in response. “You had to talk to someone. I’m honored you chose me, hermano.”

“Thanks, Jack.” Suddenly, it all made sense. Madame Eve didn’t make mistakes. The man on the bed was her gift to him and Jagger had no intention of screwing things up. He could give Daniel time if he needed it, but he would be right there to help him find his way back where he belonged: in Jagger’s bed and in his heart. “Did I lose you, Jag?” “No, just thinking that I only have a few hours left to stake my claim and wondering why the hell I’m wasting time talking to you.” “I’ll let you go then. Bring your friend to Vegas soon. Leah will want to meet him. She worries that you’re alone.” “We’ll see. Give her a kiss for me and wish me luck.” “You don’t need luck, Jag. You have Eve.” Feeling better, Jagger hung up the phone and tossed it on the desk as he headed back to the arms of his greatest wet dream.
*** Tentative kisses, drifting over his chest and stomach in feathery nibbles, woke Jagger. He lay quietly as his bed partner explored. The man who had needed permission to touch had blossomed in a single encounter. When Daniel licked Jagger’s cock, he propped himself up on his elbows with a groan. “Are you having fun all by yourself or can anyone join this party?” Daniel looked up. “I thought you were asleep.” “I’m awake now.” Jagger patted the mattress beside him. “Come up here a moment.” A wicked, sexy grin teased the corner of the big guy’s mouth. “And if I don’t?” “If the mountain won’t come to me….” A full laugh burst from him before Daniel settled with his back against the headboard. “So now you want to move mountains, not climb them?” “Nope, still want to climb.” Jagger swung astride Daniel’s broad lap and wrapped his hands over the other man’s shoulders. “In fact, there’s a great deal I

want to do to you.” He brushed a kiss over Daniel’s full lower lip before slipping his tongue past even teeth to coax and stroke until they were both breathless. Cocks rubbed and bumped as Jagger shifted his hips. “I don’t do this often, and considering your size, I may regret it later, but I need you inside me.” Jagger leaned forward, nipping corded muscles. Daniel pulled away. “No…I’ve never done that.” “What?” Jagger flipped on the bedside lamp and sat back on Daniel’s thighs. “Are you serious?” The lashes fell and Jagger felt like a heel. “Of course you are. Tell me what you’re afraid of, mi montaña gigante.” “I don’t want to hurt or disappoint you.” “You won’t.” He grabbed the basket off the nightstand and slowly rolled a condom over Daniel’s hard dick, slicking it generously with lube. “We’ll take it slow until you’re comfortable.” He chuckled. “That’s probably better if I want to walk tomorrow anyway.” Rising to his knees, Jagger positioned himself above Daniel’s rod. “Put it in me, big guy.” “You’re sure?” “Equals, remember? Besides, if I weren’t certain, would I be sitting on your lap naked?” Daniel reached between them, grasping his cock and lifting it to nudge against Jagger’s seldom-used hole. “I might not last long. You stole my self-control.” Jagger sank down, slowly working the wide crown past his sphincter. He groaned as the head pushed inside. The fiery stretch hurt, but not more than he could handle. Lifting slightly, he adjusted his position and took in most of Daniel’s full cock. “Fuck, that burns. You’re so thick…so hot.” “Do you want to stop?” Desperate hope echoed clear and strong in Daniel’s voice, making Jagger laugh. “I’m not going anywhere. Just give me a second to adjust.” Daniel tugged him forward. “I can handle that.” He stroked his broad hands up and down Jagger’s back, massaging away the deep ache. As his body relaxed to accommodate Daniel’s size, Jagger’s heart softened as 31

well. He lifted, almost separating them, then sank down again, rising and falling with achingly deliberate strokes. He leaned back, fingers digging into enormous biceps. Daniel’s strong arms enclosed him in a solid wall, unyielding strength coupled with the purest innocence. Closing his eyes, he slowly rode the mountain. Please, God, let me keep him. Daniel couldn’t believe the most gorgeous man he had ever seen was sitting on his lap with his cock buried deep. Pulling Jagger forward, he kissed over the high cheekbones, down the classic nose, teasing the beautiful lips. The slide and squeeze of Jagger’s impossibly tight ass messed with sanity. He couldn’t stand it much longer, had to come. Slipping his right hand between their bodies, he grasped Jagger’s long, exquisite cock, stroking hard and fast. Jerking him off in a rough hand job. Jagger grunted. “Shit, you’re so fucking good at that, but unless you want to take another shower, can I suggest a condom?” Trying to focus, Daniel fumbled for a foil packet, tearing it open and rolling it down Jagger’s dick with more speed than finesse. Thankfully, his perfect onenighter didn’t seem to mind, especially when Daniel squeezed him hard, stroking him toward release. “Oh please…I need you to come.” He bucked upward, shoving deeper inside Jagger’s incredible hole. “Please. For me.” And then he did. The hot rush of cum pulsed beneath Daniel’s fingers. Jagger’s back arched in exquisite pleasure as his quivering chute milked and stroked Daniel’s own cock into submission and launched him to ecstasy.

Chapter Seven Sunlight shone in the patio windows as Daniel dragged himself awake. His body ached in all the right places. The strange room confused him momentarily until he remembered the night. “Jagger?” The room was empty with no sign of anyone else having been there. Still, it had been real. He remembered too well the final, tender joining, the way Jagger had lovingly snuggled him close, holding him and comforting him until the sleep of contented exhaustion overtook them. One night. That’s all he’d been given, one wonderful night with the perfect fantasy. Rolling toward Jagger’s pillow, he noticed the note and a covered tray on the table. How had he missed it before? He scrambled out of bed and rushed across the room. The paper carried Jagger’s spicy scent. Dearest Daniel, I hope you slept well. I was called away but will be around to see you as soon as I can. If you wake before I return, enjoy your breakfast. Since I didn’t get a chance to feed you last night, I assume you are starved. Come find me if you’d like. I can’t wait to see your face. Jagger Lifting the lid of the covered dish, he smiled. Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, and whole grain toast, his favorite foods to start the day. Jagger had done his homework somewhere along the line. Hurrying through his meal and shower, Daniel threw on his clothes and packed his bag just in case he didn’t have time later. His flight was scheduled for two p.m., but he’d slept most of the morning away and he had to be at the airport early. He called the desk to ask if someone could come get his luggage so it was ready when he had to go. Happy for the first time in longer than he could remember, he went on a hunt for his one-night lover.

Daniel searched the main patio for Jagger’s dark hair but found only strangers. He’d almost given up hope when a familiar voice barked his name. Nausea instantly rose as he turned to stare into the face of Master Tyler. The cruel man held up a large dog collar with a snarl. “Did you drop something, pet?” When Daniel remained frozen, his master snapped his fingers, calling him to heel. “I’ve spent enough time and money tracking you. Get over here where you belong, cur. I’m tired of chasing your worthless ass.”
*** “Rest assured, Mrs. Thomas, Castillo Resorts and Cruises take every precaution to avoid such situations.” Jagger hung up the phone with a sigh. If one more person called to ask if the resort had a flu outbreak, he’d kill someone. He should be snuggled in bed savoring the morning with Daniel. Instead, he was putting out fires based on cruise ships and health issues that had nothing much to do with him or his place. He leaned back in his chair with a sigh. His whole damned body ached, but all he could think about was making love to Daniel all over again. He’d awakened with the big guy draped over him like a blanket. The weight of his massive arm and leg, as well the bald head against his shoulder, should have been uncomfortable, but Jagger had loved every second of it. He just had to convince the man to stay in Grand Turk where he belonged. A soft knock interrupted his thoughts. Hoping it was Daniel, he rose with a grin. “Come in.” Manny stood in the doorway shifting nervously from foot to foot. “Mr. Castillo.” What was wrong? “What is it?” “You know that big man from yesterday? The one that helped the boy by the pool?” “Of course I remember Mr. Long.” Jagger took a deep breath. Snapping at the help wouldn’t benefit anyone. “What about him?”

“It’s probably nothing, but a little weasel of a man has him cornered near the beach, and I don’t think he’ll fight back.” A strange look passed over the teen’s face. “He looked scared. That can’t be right, can it?” “Possibly. Some large men hate to fight. Don’t worry. I’ll take care of it.” Jagger forced himself to walk rather than run through the lobby. He saw Daniel almost as soon as he stepped outside. Manny was right, he looked scared as hell while a man half his size deliberately baited the bear. Jagger’s protective instincts kicked into overdrive. No one messed with his mountain man. Whether Daniel knew it yet or not, they belonged together. “I mean it. Get your bag and get in the car. You’re going home.” The stranger’s voice rang out too loud and arrogant for the serene morning. Stepping between the smaller man and Daniel, Jagger faked a smile. “May I help you?” Narrow green eyes darted up and down his frame and found him lacking. “No. This is none of your business. I came to get my property.” The pretense of civility fell. “I don’t think so.” “I do. See this?” He held up a large dog collar, one that could easily have fit a Rottweiler. The row of spikes that adorned it would make wearing it uncomfortable at best. “My pet seems to have forgotten his place.” “No, he didn’t.” Before Jagger realized the other man’s intent, he snagged Daniel’s sprained wrist and twisted. Daniel grunted in pain, and Jagger reacted out of instinct. He grabbed the bastard by the throat and squeezed. A small group of guests gathered as security closed in, quietly offering backup should he need it. “I suggest you let go before I get seriously angry, Master Tyler. If you don’t, you’d better pray my guards value human life over their jobs because I will kill you and feed you to the sharks.” The weasel had the gall to sneer as he threw aside Daniel’s sore arm. Jagger tightened his grip on the man’s neck and shoved him back. “You shouldn’t have done that.” “You won’t hurt me in front of all these witnesses.” Master Tyler’s words croaked from his restricted throat. 35

“Won’t I? Most, if not all these people, will back me up.” Manny appeared to his left with a nod. “I didn’t see anyone by that description here at the resort, officer. Wonder what happened.” Jagger smiled as the grateful mother from the pool tsked in mock horror and nodded. “A body was found beaten and washed ashore? Really? That’s horrible. Do you think it was drug runners?” He stepped back from Daniel’s abuser with barely restrained rage. “You see. It didn’t take but a moment for everyone here to understand Mr. Long’s value. I suggest you leave before you have to take on more of us than you can handle.” Rubbing his throat, the loser growled. “He belongs to me.” “Like hell.” Jagger moved forward again. “A Dom is given power by the sub’s choice alone. When a sub walks, the contract ends.” “I’m not leaving. He can’t survive on his own, so unless you’re claiming him, it’s my duty to take care of him.” The attempt to sound noble irritated Jagger and he lunged toward the little bastard, but a solid mass circled his waist and lifted him aside. “No.” Daniel scowled. “Don’t fight him.” Was he crazy? Was he contemplating going back to the jerk? “Why?” “Because I can fight my own battles.” “Yeah?” Pride swelled Jagger’s chest and he stepped closer; his hand pressed over Daniel’s heart. “You sure about this, big guy?” “Yes.” “All right, have at it.” He started to step back then thought better of it. “Don’t get hurt.” “Didn’t plan to.” The shy, sexy grin Jagger had grown to love flashed and disappeared as Daniel faced his tormentor. “I’m done. If you come anywhere near me again, I will inform the University, the Georgia State Police, and anyone else who might care to listen that Professor Tyler Manning, aka Master Tyler, is an abusive dickwad. How long do you think it will take for them to run you out on a rail? If I were you, I’d haul ass back to the States and resign while I still had some hope of a pension.” Daniel caught the small man’s shirt and lifted him high. “And if I ever hear that you have a new young man in your clutches, I will make you 36
Mountain Claiming
wish I had allowed Mr. Castillo to kill you. Understand?” “You don’t have the guts.” “I wouldn’t bet my future on that if I were you.” The crowd cheered as Daniel dropped the prick on his ass. “Manny will show you the way out.” Jagger waited while the crowd followed security and Manny’s lanky form as they roughly ushered Daniel’s ex from the property then he led his mountain to the privacy of his office. Once they were alone, he tugged the big guy down for a possessive kiss that held every ounce of pride he felt. Strong arms circled his waist and hugged him tight until he couldn’t breathe around the joy swelling his chest. “You were spectacular, mi montaña.” Humor glinted in Daniel’s dark chocolate eyes. “I was, wasn’t I?” “I’m sorry I wasn’t there when you woke this morning. Let me make it up to you.” Daniel checked his cell for the time. “My plane leaves in two and a half hours. I can’t miss it.” “Stay.” “Last night was a fantasy. One night of passion, remember?” Grinning like a schoolboy, Jagger played with the buttons hiding muscles too huge to be real. “It doesn’t have to end. My activities director gave notice last week. Said she found work closer to family.” Probably Eve’s doing as well. He owed the woman more than favors could ever repay. “Would you be interested?” “I have to go home.” Jagger’s chest clenched impossibly tight. He’d never expected that Daniel wouldn’t want to stay. Suddenly, Eve’s gift seemed like a horrible joke. “I understand.” He turned away and reached for the desk phone. “I’ll arrange for a cab then.” Steel hands closed over his shoulders and pulled him against a wall of warm muscle. “I can’t just disappear. People rely on me.” Hope teased. “Brenda gave me a month’s notice.” He tipped his head so he could look at his beloved mountain. “Would that be long enough to settle your affairs?” “Depends.” Daniel released him and stepped back, rubbing his hand over his 37

shiny scalp, his eyes dropped. “Would I be coming back for any reason other than a job in paradise?” “Did you have something else in mind?” The long lashes lifted but Daniel didn’t answer. Five years of repression was a hard thing to overcome in a night. Jagger longed to pull his dream into his arms but it wasn’t his choice. “What feels right, mi montaña gigante?” “You.” Daniel’s eyes fell again then lifted with his adorable grin. “That about covers it. Are you planning on claiming this mountain, Mr. Castillo?” Damn, the man was too perfect to be real. “Thinking about it under two conditions.” Confusion clouded Daniel’s open expression. “What’s that?” “That the claiming goes both ways and you never call me Mr. Castillo again when we’re alone.” The grin returned as Daniel swept Jagger into a bear hug. “Sounds good to me, asshole.”
